Christian Assets
If you've ever let Andrew Christian touch your derriere, you'll know what sexy feels like. The Los Angeles wardrobe stylist was inspired by the underground club scene to create the coveted men's sportswear (and now women's) line in 1997. He adopted the cross logo not just for his namesake but perhaps as a first aid to the boring.
The swimwear in standout styles including the sensationally low-cut Gothic, Pirate (with metallic nail heads for a the swashbuckler graphic or classic Lifesaver, are dauntingly skimpy at first glance but miraculously paint themselves around you and provide the "˜lift-effect" that only hours of gym squats can deliver.
With his new underwear line, Christian introduces the Show-it technology that features an elastic strap to keep the valuables in place and accentuate the ego right along with "˜it." He describes it "as the same concept as the Wonderbra, but for guys." Not one to overlook balance, Christian is also working on underwear with a butt-lifting effect so you can look like a Janice Dickinson model and strut around with confidence.
Odd Molly Daryl Hannah, Andrea Bowen (Desperate Housewives) and Fumi Desalu (Ugly Betty) were only some of the fans that came to celebrate the internationally loved Swedish clothier at her first-ever runaway show and launch party for the Spring/Summer '08 collection at the swank Skybar. Swedish Jazz star Viktoria Tolstoy was joined by Mike Thompson of the Eagles on keyboard to entertain arrivals and DJ Rashida (Prince's DJ) spun for the chic crowd after the show.
